Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Research Engine web application and the DeepDive iOS application (collectively, the “Service”), operated by Devello Studios (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We are not liable for losses arising from unauthorized access to your account.

3. Credits and Payments

  • Credits are the currency used to run research missions. Each subscription tier provides a monthly credit allotment. Additional credits may be purchased as one-time packs.
  • Subscriptions renew monthly. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time.
  • Credit packs are non-refundable once purchased. Unused credits do not expire.
  • All payments are processed by Stripe. You agree to Stripe’s Consumer Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
  • Circumvent rate limits, credit restrictions, or authentication controls
  • Submit content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights
  • Use automated scripts to access the Service in a way that degrades performance for others

5. Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain ownership of the missions, research findings, and knowledge entries you create. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the Service to you.

Our Service

The Service, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by Devello Studios. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or proprietary technology.

6. AI-Generated Content

Research findings, synthesis reports, and knowledge entries are generated with the assistance of AI models. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. You are responsible for verifying any information before relying on it for decisions.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DEVELLO STUDIOS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.
